Sharon has always had a keen interest in painting since taking art at A level, however with raising a family and working life she found it difficult to find time to pursue her passion. However, all that was about to change as she was looking forward to retirement and embracing her long lost hobby. With her new spare time Sharon was keen to design an inspiring room in her garden that could be used daily to create artistic pieces.
A quick visit to GCS Leisure Buildings and our lead designer was happy to help with every step of the design process. Sharon decided a 2.4m x 1.8m flat roof Lugarde building was the perfect fit. She opted for roof and floor insulation, allowing her to get creative all-year-around. Like most artists, working in a space with as much light as possible was a priority, opting for double doors and a casement window to allow natural daylight to flood in. With beautiful natural surroundings, the building was painted in neutral tones pebble grey with pure white windows and doors. Sharon decided to personalise her art studio and named it 'Green Acres' after a television programme that had happy memories for her.
Sharon's newly constructed art studio is a space enjoyed daily where she has produced paintings that have now been sold locally. Sharon particularly loves how her studio inspires her four-year-old granddaughter who is a regular visitor. GCS would like to congratulate Sharon on her recent art sales. We hope they continue to do well.
